26 candles.

So, I had my quarter life crisis but found the perfect cure for it.

A birthday celebration.

I feel rejuvenated and content.

I am SO grateful for an amazing husband, family and friends.

I got a little creative and put together a couple of photos from this past weekend to share.

4th of July.

It is a known thing that I am a foodie.

I love giving restaurant suggestions and posting my husband's creations on Facebook.

This blog is a foodie's best friend both visually and creatively, What Katie Ate.

My mouth was salivating while reading her 4th of July post.

I hope everyone enjoys the holiday :)

Bucket List.

SUP - Stand up paddling.

I read about it in Self magazine's July issue and was intrigued.

Aniston makes it look effortless. Definitely want to try.

Mindfulness to Happiness

I received an e-mail today titled "The 30-day Happiness Experiment".

The article I read cites that those who meditate often eventually are happier and show less anxiety than those who do not.

I have always known that being in a certain state or frame of mind can diminish
 negative emotions.

This article inspired me to take the challenge of allowing myself a few moments at the end of each day to use as reflection or just being.

Turn off my phone and computer and just sit.

Do you meditate? If so, what rituals or activities allow you to just be?
